Do you help provide care for someone in your home who has Alzheimer's, or is chronically ill, injured, elderly or disabled?

If you help provide care at home for someone, (mom, dad, grandparent, sibling, etc.) we want to help you get recognition for your contribution to your family and the community by connecting you with an organization that can award you service hours.

If you are eligible, you'll receive official, accredited service hour recognition from The American Association of Caregiving Youth. These service hours could help you stand out on college applications and can help positively differentiate you for other opportunities.

This is a pilot program by us, The Poole Family, authors of this website - ‘Kids Are Caregivers Too'. We are a McLean, Virginia family advocacy project, coordinating in partnership with The American Association of Caregiving Youth, (AACY) a 501c3 GuideStar Platinum organization headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.

AACY serves kids in Palm Beach County, and is the only organization in the United States dedicated to supporting caregiving youth. The U.K and Australia have hundreds of school support programs for kids in this situation, the U.S. only has one.
